overview
introduction
Firedome is a wildfire protection company providing automated, end-to-end defense for communities and high-risk assets. Their technology combines physical infrastructure with computer vision to detect wildfire threats in real time and deploy targeted fire-retardant responses before damage occurs.
our part
As the company matured, Firedome needed its website to evolve - shifting from an investor-focused narrative to a client-first experience that clearly communicates the product, builds trust, and drives inbound inquiries.
We partnered with Firedome to re-evaluate their existing website and define a new direction aligned with their business goals. The engagement included a UX audit, a full website redesign, and a complete rebuild of the site in Framer - transforming the site into a clearer, more conversion-oriented product experience.
my role
I led the UX and design strategy for the project, starting with a comprehensive audit of the existing website. I identified key usability issues, gaps in messaging, and missed conversion opportunities, then translated those insights into a clear redesign direction.
I owned the wireframing and UX structure, shaping the site’s information architecture, content hierarchy, and user flows. I worked closely throughout the design and build phases to ensure the final Framer implementation accurately reflected the intended experience.
process
UX Audit & Strategy
I began by reviewing the existing website through a UX and content lens, focusing on clarity, hierarchy, and conversion. The audit surfaced several key challenges: vague messaging, minimal product explanation, weak visual hierarchy, and CTAs that didn’t clearly guide users toward contact.
These insights helped define the core goals of the redesign: clarify the product and value proposition, build credibility with potential clients, and create a clear path toward inquiry.
Redesign: Structure, Messaging & Visual Language
Based on the audit findings, we redesigned the website structure to better support exploration and understanding - introducing clearer sections, stronger storytelling, and a more intentional content flow.
We refined the messaging to shift from abstract, vision-driven language to practical, client-focused communication. Visually, the design moved toward a more professional and confident tone, using clearer hierarchy, stronger UI patterns, and imagery that better reflects the product and its real-world application.
Throughout the process, UX decisions were closely tied to business goals, ensuring the design supported both credibility and lead generation.
Solution
Final Website Design
The final result is a redesigned, client-focused website that clearly communicates Firedome’s product, technology, and value. The experience emphasizes clarity, trust, and action - guiding users from understanding the solution to confidently reaching out.
The site was fully rebuilt by us in Framer, enabling flexibility, scalability, and faster iteration as the product continues to evolve.
next phases
Future App Experience
Alongside the website redesign, we explored early design directions for Firedome’s future application. These concepts extend the visual language and UX principles established on the website into a product environment - setting the foundation for dashboards, monitoring views, and system insights.
This forward-looking work helps ensure consistency across Firedome’s digital ecosystem as the platform grows.
